Western Iowa
American Legion Riders

On 8-9-10, our organization was faced with tragedy as four of our brothers and riders were killed on 1-29 as they traveled back from the Sturgis Rally in South Dakota. A young man had been drinking that day and crossed over the center line, taking these four men from not only our organization, but from their families. From that day, we knew we had to do something to remember our brothers and to remind all communities what drunk driving can do to so many lives. The Fallen Four Memorial Building will be built in Pacific Junction, Iowa on two acres of land at the Mid America Motorplex and will be used for educating young and old on the realities of drunk driving. We have many civic groups such as the highway patrol, MADD, and sheriff departments interested in using our building for training and this building will also be used at numerous functions at the Motorplex.
