The Veterans PTSD Foundation is Veterans helping Veterans. The foundation was founded by Keith Callaway and the Western Iowa American Legion Riders. Keith a is 20 year veteran who suffers with PTSD along with many of the Western Iowa American Legion Riders. We created this foundation to help other veterans, like themselves, with military-related PTSD.
Many veterans, those who have returned and those still returning home, are affected by the trauma they have encountered. To get the help they deserve, the veteran needs someone who will listen and understands what they are going though. We are here to get them in touch with the right people that can help.
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) develops after exposure to extreme psychological trauma — events that produce fear, helplessness or horror, such as a threat to life or physical wellbeing. Certain situations a person encounters can trigger PTSD.
